Whitney joined Reese Marketos in 2023. During her first year in private practice, she played a key role on a trial team that secured a $150 million False Claims Act jury verdict against a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary. She also contributed significantly to the post-trial briefing that ultimately grew the verdict to a landmark $1.64 billion judgment awarded to two whistleblowers.
During the five-week federal trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Whitney helped prepare the case’s key witnesses, reviewed massive volumes of internal corporate records, and assisted in trial strategy. The trial team proved that Janssen Products knowingly submitted more than 150,000 false Medicare and Medicaid claims. As Reese Marketos lead counsel Pete Marketos told The Texas Lawbook, Whitney “did the work of ten people.”
Whitney has also played key roles in several of the firm’s other high-stakes victories. In 2026, she helped secure a total defense win for AT&T in a breach of contract dispute that had sought $50 million in damages against the telecom company. Instead, the jury awarded AT&T $8 million on its counterclaim. The case marked the first jury verdict in the First Division of the Texas Business Court’s history.
In 2025, she tried a case that led to a $52 million bench trial judgment in a midstream energy contract dispute, and later that year, was on a trial team that secured a complete defense win for a fintech company in an ownership dispute claiming more than $90 million in damages. She has contributed to numerous other high-takes commercial disputes involving breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, and tortious interference.
Whitney has secured favorable trial results for clients in federal and state courtrooms across the country, from the Eastern District of Texas to the Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas to the New York Supreme Court Commercial Division, and the Delaware Court of Chancery.
Before joining Reese Marketos, Whitney clerked for the Honorable Stephen R. Bough of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, where she gained experience across a broad range of civil and criminal matters and further refined her trial-preparation and judicial-writing skills.
