D Magazine has named Reese Marketos partner Andrew Wirmani to its prestigious “2025 Best Lawyers in Dallas” list.
The list, featured in D’s May issue, includes Dallas-area lawyers nominated by their peers and vetted by an anonymous, independent panel of esteemed lawyers.
A former federal prosecutor, Wirmani leads the firm’s white collar criminal defense practice. Some of his notable recent matters include an arbitration win for a physician practice group that zeroed out the claimant and awarded the physicians millions as well as the government’s declination to prosecute a hospice company represented by Wirmani after a grand jury investigation. Wirmani is currently representing multiple clients under investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for importing alleged adulterated and counterfeit Ozempic.
Wirmani also leverages his expertise in healthcare fraud, cybersecurity breaches, and procurement fraud through another significant element of his practice: representing qui tam whistleblowers in False Claims Act litigation. Wirmani’s recent FCA successes for whistleblowers include a $1.64 billion judgment against Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Janssen Products, a $100 million settlement with PharMerica Corp., a $36 million jury verdict against defense contractor MD Helicopters, and a $38.5 million settlement with Academy Mortgage Group.
